Traverse Area Model Pilots Training Program
Have you ever wanted to learn to fly Radio controlled airplanes?
T.R.A.M.P.S. gives potential students (3) free intro flights with an instructor on one of our top of the line trainers. In those flights you will be shown the basics.
- Aircraft Controls and how it affects the aircraft
- Aerial Maneuvers
- Plus More
When you complete your free intro flights you will be given an opportunity to join our club and continue your training with us here at Traverse Area Model Pilots Society and enjoy our great locations and learn from our advanced instructors.
Here at the Traverse Model Pilots we have a great pilot training program. Our skilled flight instructors can assist you in choosing a good trainer aircraft that will enable you to learn to build and fly a radio controlled model airplane.
Upon completion of your R/C aircraft, the T.R.A.M.P.S. Pilot Training Program will lead you through the safety, preflight checklist, and basic flight maneuvers associated with radio controlled flying.
Upon completion of the program you will be signed off by one of our instructors giving you the opportunity to "solo" and earn your "wings", which allow you to use any of our fields at your leasure as a T.RA.M.P.S. member.
We put our students through extensive training so when he/she solos they will be ready to fly safely on their own.
Training nights begin the Tuesday after Memorial Day and go through Labor Day
New Students that have joined T.R.A.M.P.S. can set up scheduled lessons with their instructor for any day or time.
