Happy New Year
Happy New Year from all the TRAMPS members! A lot of new things are planned for this new year. We are going to install a nice geotextile fabric runway at the Rennie Field. This should allow all those smaller planes with retracts to fly there. We built a new structure at the Interlochen Field now if only we could keep those pesky mosquitos away!
The TRAMPS air show will be on June 23rd this year. We will also be having an additional day of open flying on Sunday the 24th. Click here for more information.
You can see some images from previous events on the photos page.
Winter is here and indoor flying at Peshawbestown and Traverse City is up and running.
There is no excuse for anyone not to get a chance to try their hand at indoor flying. With the advances in gyro and stabilization technology the micro indoor planes are more stable and fly "larger" than ever before. These new planes can be picked up right here in town at Trains and Things. Come join us and keep your skills sharp while keeping your fingers warm.
Our 2018 officers were finally elected. Kim and Mark will be serving another year in their respective positions. Dan Mclaren will now be the Treasure and Secretary. The 2018 Board Members will be Ben Komrska, Brian Green, and Rich Blaum, and Rob McDonald. You can also find the complete list here.
The scale drone project for the lighthouse society is progressing very well. There will be an open house in May. Click the image to the right to see more!

2014 Wounded Warrior Project Airshow
This year TRAMPS and BARCS teamed up for a fall airshow to raise money for the wounded warrior project. It was an amazing success. The airshow went very well there was even a very nice pyrotechnics display in the mid day show! Marshall's F-4 also stole the show with the blazing high speed passes.
Thank you to all the TRAMPS members that came out and flew!
TRAMPS 2014 Airshow
Day one of the Air Show is complete. What a beautiful day at the Empire Airport. Blue skies and light winds. We would like to thank Tim Jesky, AMA District VII Vice President, for coming out for the show. We're hoping the weather holds out for tomorrow as well.
